COMPLETING MY DAYS OF GRATITUDE.

“And still, after all this time, The sun never says to the earth, ‘You owe me’. Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky” Hafez

Finally I have decided to complete this, as I have been procrastinating for quite a while now. I felt a stronger urge to complete this after a fellow blogger and colleague in school (aladyandlife.blogspot.com) tagged me on a post on Facebook where she wrote that she wanted to share hers. I felt really disappointed in myself for not completing mine, and on the other hand proud too, that I inspired her to start hers.

So I would be writing them all here. I would try my best to keep them as short as I could.

DAY 7: So grateful for my childhood memories of cooking with sand and building castles with my cousins and friends. For all the moments spent with my late grandma, the birth of my brother, even all those struggles, disappointments and embarrassing moments when i felt like the ground should open up and instantly swallow me. For the songs which bring back memories because to me, every song is a story, a lesson, a message.

DAY 8: The bible which the word of God which we should pay more attention to than words said by men. For all books by Sidney Sheldon I honestly believe is the master of all suspense and beautifully, artistically written friction. Emma Dally’s  Tomorrow’s Past and the Cry of Children. The Alchemist, Zahir and Adultery by Paulo Coehlo, books by John Grisham, Think like a Man, Act like a lady which had to be maybe the first non-friction book I read. For the Love of a Son whicI was a true-life story, To Kiss The Sun and Leave by Ifeanyi Daniel. Classic Shakespeare, and yesss Baby Sitters Club which began the beginning of my book journey.

Day 9: For all islands, and places with captivating landscapes. The Maldives, Mauritius, Bora Bora, Dubai, Greece, Paris, Rome, maybe Europe as a whole. I think every city and country has an interesting story and culture attached to them which i would love to explore (if I could),but the most beautiful place which I happen to be the most grateful for is Heaven, beyond divine.

DAY 1O: For the taste of foooooodddd ofcourse, uhm…chocolate, fruits, water? lol. I know water should be tasteless and stuff, but have you ever been so tasty that when you finally got water to drank, you ended up saying ‘water is sweet” in satisfaction.

DAY 11: Holidays in my maternal home were always the best of the best, in Dubai, every short trip i had had to make for programs in FCT was consIdered a holiday for me and were therefore just too lit. Just any holiday spent with my extended family mostly.

DAY 12: Wood, Leather, Silk, Brick, Glass. I hate hate hate the sounds from metals rubbing together so i don fancy metallic objects. expect they are on my shoes, bags, clothes…okay and fashion item.

DAY 13: Dancing because it relaxes me, it gives me freedom and peace of mind. it is kinda my own way of un-winding. The ability to predict people.Lol. This is like superpower as it works 98% of the time, honestly. To put my thoughts in words, my ability to know when to take a break and let all the anger and all what-not go. To understand people, to motivate people to be the best they could be, and the most important…drum rolls….to eat. Bet you thought it was something serious hey.

Day 14: Every sight I can see clearly through my artificial lenses or retina. Lol. I actuallynhave very sharp sight which is very distinctive which means i could be in an environment for like 2 mins and I’ve noticed things you might not see even after spending hours. My eyeballs just keep flicking from place to place taking notes,a and you wouldn’t even notice.

DAY 15: Well, this is hard. Rainy or Harmattan season? HMM.Maybe harmattan because am not a fan of rains, and am I try not to be ashy during the harmattan season as i enjoy moisturizing. I hate the hot-cold weather that comes with the Rainy Season. One second the sun could start a fire, the next second, its raining.

DAY 16: Hmm. Hahahaha. This is nice. On my body, I am grateful for my eyes which i think properly describes my personality as a whole, its almost always indifferent yet you could tell there is a lot i know that am not saying. Don’t ask me how i know this. Lol. My tiny lips, dimples, wrists are quite small, I think my thighs which is the fattest part of my body, I think my legs and feet too.

DAY 17: Of the bible and my mind. because I think the best form of knowledge you need is an understanding of your mind, body and soul and this could be achieved by forming strong wise opinions about your beliefs and values. Emphasis on wise. But never be too obdurate to learn.

DAY 18: Mona-Lisa for all the memes created from it. African art which I think has the most cultural aesthetics. Hyper-realistic art, beautiful silhouette drawings, illustrations, and every thing arty created from the least expected item.

DAY 19: The Touch.

DAY 20: My entire family, friends, to have people I could call coursemates, colleagues, well-wishers, awesome people who visit my blog, leave comments and share. People I have met along the line in various situations and occasions and have been of positive impact even though our acquaintanceship was short-lived, people who believe in my me and push me to do more, nice lecturers and staff, nice neighbours willing to help, good Samaritans and people who don’t try to suffocate me in the bus with mouth odour and body odour. Thanks.

DAY 21: No Be You by Waje, Arise by  Don Moen and To Bernard by Falana.

DAY 22: The Passion Of Christ

Day 23: Traditional marriages, absolutely love all the colours and display of culture, Omugwo- because I cant imagine myself taking care of new born baby alone as I would be crying at every little thing that happens to the baby that i cant understand.

DAY 24: The mannequin challenge. 30 day water challenge which I couldn’t complete but okay.

DAY 25: For Monday as I able to solve an issue which i never thought i could do, by myself.

DAY 26: “Oshey”…hahahahahaha, “Dayauumm”, “Yas”

DAY 27: Tropical Naturals Dudu Osun Black Soap, Water

DAY 28: My mum considered my proposal to her concerning a trip.

DAY 29: For Blossom, UC, Moses my friends because they make my current life pop in their various ways, and have been their in times when I felt I couldn’t do it.

DAY 30: To predict people, to put my thoughts in words, to understand, to listen, to dance, to stay happy.

Wow. I know this is very long , but am proud of myself for finally finishing it up and now I am wondering why it took me so long to complete it.

Thanks for reading and partaking in a part of me and sharing this with me.
